Where Our Crews Work

Most of our jobs are within a short drive of Lynwood. That covers South Gate, Downey, Compton, Bellflower and Paramount. We also work in Huntington Park, Bell, Bell Gardens, Florence-Graham and Westmont. Homes a little past these towns may still be in reach. Mention your street when you phone, and we will say plainly whether we can do the job.

The town does not change how we work. You get a free written estimate that lists what we found and what we plan to do. You get the same contact from that first visit until the last nail is swept up. We handle roof repair, roof replacement, inspections, gutters, and tile, shingle and flat roofing. Service is in English and Spanish. Se Habla Español.

What We See on Roofs Around Here

  1. 01

    Older homes and old repairs

A lot of homes in this part of the county went up between the 1920s and the 1960s. Many have had two or three roofs since, and sometimes a new layer went right over the old one. We pull back a section to check the wood decking before we price a replacement, so the estimate matches what is really under there.

  2. 02

    Low-slope additions

Back rooms, patio covers and garage conversions often have a flatter roof than the main house. Water moves slowly on those, and the seam where the flat section meets the sloped roof is a common leak spot. We look at that joint on every visit.

  3. 03

Sun most of the year, rain in winter

Strong sun dries out shingles and cracks old roll roofing and sealant around vents. Then most of the year's rain comes in a few winter months. A small crack that stayed dry all summer can start leaking with the first real storm. Late summer and fall are a good time for an inspection, before the rain starts.

  4. 04

    Wind

Dry fall winds can lift loose shingles and slip tiles out of place. After a windy stretch, missing pieces and bent flashing are worth a look before rain shows up.

  5. 05

    Permits and code

A full reroof needs a permit. Cities like Lynwood, Downey and South Gate run their own building departments, and the unincorporated areas go through Los Angeles County. California's energy code can also require cool-rated roofing on some reroofs. We pull the permit, pick materials that meet code and set up the inspection, so you are not chasing paperwork.
