Urgent Roof Repair in Lynwood
A fallen limb, a torn run of shingles or water dripping through the ceiling can't wait for the next rain. We cover the open spot, find what failed and make a permanent repair. One person from our office stays with your job from the first phone call to cleanup.
When Roof Damage Can't Sit Until Next Month
Some roof problems show up all at once. Wind lifts a section of shingles. A branch punches through the decking. A flat roof over a back addition starts letting water into a bedroom. The first job is to stop more water from getting into your home. The second is to fix the roof so it stays fixed.
We keep those two steps separate on purpose. A tarp or a temporary seal buys time. It is not the repair. Once the roof is covered, we look at the whole damaged area, including the decking and flashing, and tell you what a lasting fix involves before anything else is done.
You talk to one person through all of it. That person schedules the visit, sends the written estimate, answers your questions and checks the site after cleanup. If you need to explain the damage to your insurance company, it's the same person you call.

What the Work Includes
- 01
Temporary cover
We tarp or seal the damaged section so rain stays out. Tarps are fastened to the roof with battens, not just weighted with bricks, so wind doesn't peel them back.
- 02
Damage check above and below
We look at the roof surface, the decking under it and, when we can reach it, the attic side. Wet or soft decking is common under a torn spot and has to be found before the repair.
- 03
Photos of what we find
You get pictures of the damage and the area around it. They help you see the problem and they help if you file an insurance claim.
- 04
Permanent repair
We replace broken decking, underlayment, shingles or tile and reset any flashing that was disturbed. On shingle roofs we match the repair to your existing roof as closely as the product line allows.
- 05
Cleanup
Torn shingles, nails and debris come off the roof and out of your yard. We run a magnet over the driveway and walkways before we leave.
Questions about Urgent Roof Repair?
Call(310) 987-4459When Your Roof Needs Help Now
Water dripping from the ceiling
Dripping, a swelling stain or soggy drywall means water is already past the roof and the insulation. Set out a bucket and keep everyone clear of any spot that sags.
Bare spots after high wind
Strong gusts like the Santa Anas that blow through in fall and winter can peel shingles off in strips. Exposed underlayment won't last long once rain hits it.
A limb resting on the roof
Even when nothing looks wrong from below, a heavy branch can crack decking or rip flashing. Leave it where it is rather than climbing up to move it.
Daylight between the roof boards
Go into the attic on a sunny day with the lights off. Dots or slivers of light between the boards show an opening, and rain will get through it too.
Flashing bent or hanging
Flashing around a chimney, vent pipe or wall that is pulled up or dangling opens a gap right where water flows.
How a Job Like This Runs
- 1
You call and describe the damage
Tell us what you see and where. We ask a few questions, set a time to come out as soon as our schedule allows and give you the name of the person handling your job.
- 2
We cover the roof
On the first visit we secure the damaged area so your home stays dry. We take photos while we're up there.
- 3
You get a written estimate
Once the area is dry enough to inspect fully, we write up the permanent repair line by line. If the damage points to a bigger problem, we say so and explain your options, including roof repair or roof replacement.
- 4
We repair, clean up and check in
The crew makes the repair on the scheduled day and clears the site. Your contact follows up afterward to make sure everything is holding.
What the Repair Cost Depends On
Your written estimate shows the temporary cover and the permanent repair as separate prices. The estimate is free. Most of the cost comes down to how far the damage reaches once the area is opened.
- How much area was hit
- Some torn shingles make a small job. A section broken open by a fallen limb needs more material and more hours.
- The wood under the damage
- Soaked or rotted boards beneath the damage need replacing. Often that only shows once the old roofing is off, and we let you know as soon as we see it.
- Roofing type and steepness
- Tile is slower to pull and reset than shingles, and tall or steep roofs need more safety setup. Low-slope roofs call for different materials altogether.
- Finding a match
- Older shingle colors and tile shapes can be scarce. Tracking down a close match can change both the price and the schedule.
Urgent Repair Questions
Is this something insurance will pay for?
That comes down to your policy and the cause. Sudden events such as wind or a falling tree are often covered, and wear and tear usually is not. We work directly with your insurance claim with photos and a written scope, and your adjuster decides coverage.
Does the tarp count as the fix?
No. A tarp only keeps water out for a while. Sun breaks it down and wind can move it, so the permanent repair should come after we inspect the damage.
Can I climb up and look myself?
Please don't. A wet roof is slick and damaged decking can give way under you. Take pictures from the ground and indoors, move your things away from the drip and leave the climbing to us.
